Dev Gore (born 31 July 1997 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States) is an American racing driver, who competes in the 2021 DMSB Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters Championship for Team Rosberg.[1] A recent convert to both motorsport and GT racing, Gore would partner DTM veteran Nico Müller for his rookie season.[1]
Background[]
Gore would only begin racing at the age of eighteen, entering his first kart races in 2015 in the Florida Winter Tour and Rotax Grand Finals.[2] Joining the Bertil Roos Racing School, Gore would win the US Open DD2 Championship in 2016, before moving into the USF2000 Championship in 2017, finishing thirteenth overall.[2] A partial campaign in the Euroformula Open Championship would follow in 2018, before Gore would compete in the Toyota Racing Series, finishing thirteenth, and debut in the Blancpain GT Series.[2]
2020 saw Gore forced to sit out of any racing series due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, although the American driver would compete in several eSports series instead.[2]
DTM History[]
Gore was signed by Team Rosberg ahead of the 2021 DMSB Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters Championship, partnering Nico Müller as the second driver in their pair of Audi R8 LMS Evos.[1] After running towards the back of the field in pre-season testing, Gore would retire from the season opening 2021 Monza Race 1 after contact with DTM veteran Timo Glock.[3] A quiet run to fifteenth would follow for Gore in the second Monza Race, after a late fight with Esmee Hawkey and Sophia Flörsch.[4]
